How to use
- Sign in, open the editor and choose or drop in a photo
- Pick “Remove BG” in the toolbar and click “Remove background”
- Under “Background”, choose transparent, a solid color, or upload a background image
- Download the result; it is also kept in “My results”
What photos it suits
Photos with a clear subject, such as people, products and pets, work best. The more the subject stands out from the background, the cleaner the edge; when they are close in color, zoom in and check the edge.
Transparent objects such as glasses may keep a little of the background color. The tool tries to remove leftover background color along the edge, and when it cannot, you download the raw cut-out.
Cost and failures
It uses credits per run; see the prices page for the amount. No subscription needed. Failed runs are not charged. If it is unclear whether the server received a request, you are charged only once it finishes and the result shows up in “My results”, so check there before retrying.
Very high-resolution images take a long time, and the page asks you to shrink or crop them first.
Where results are kept, and privacy
Finished images are saved automatically in “My results” in this browser for 7 days and only your account can see them; switching browsers, clearing browser data or signing out removes them, so download what you want to keep.
Upload only images you have the right to edit; unlawful content is not allowed, see the user agreement. Images are handled by a third-party AI service, see the privacy policy.

- Am I charged if it fails?
- No. Failed runs and expired upload tokens are not charged.
- What happens if I close the page?
- Processing keeps going, and you can pick up the result in “My results”.
- Which tool changes an ID photo background?
- Use “ID photo BG”: after the person is cut out you can switch to white, red, blue or a custom color for free.
