Examples

  • Original: a half-length portrait of a silver-haired woman by a window, with a room and window behind her
    Original
Result: the person cut out and placed on a blue background
    AI-generated

The person is cut out and placed on the common blue background. This sample is not a standard ID-photo pose or framing; it only shows the cut-out and background change. For official ID photos, follow the requirements of the issuing authority.

How to use

  1. Sign in, open the editor and choose or drop in a portrait
  2. Pick “ID photo BG” in the toolbar and click “Cut out and change background”
  3. Under “Background color”, choose white, red, blue, custom or transparent; you can switch as often as you like
  4. Pick a format and download; the transparent cut-out is also kept in “My results”

What it is for

It suits résumés, work badges, student cards and other uses that do not need an original-grade ID photo. Official photos for passports, visas and ID cards usually do not allow digital editing, so follow the requirements of the issuing authority.

White, red and blue are the usual ID-photo backgrounds; if the authority asks for another color, use the custom color. Clear areas such as glasses may keep the original background color, so zoom in and check.

How it is charged

The cut-out step uses credits per run; see the prices page for the amount. Changing the color afterwards is not charged. Failed runs are not charged.

The transparent cut-out is saved in “My results”. Download it and upload it here later to change the color for free without cutting out again.

Where results are kept, and privacy

Finished images are saved automatically in “My results” in this browser for 7 days and only your account can see them; switching browsers, clearing browser data or signing out removes them, so download what you want to keep. Output uses standard color (sRGB).

Upload only images you have the right to edit; unlawful content is not allowed, see the user agreement. Images are handled by a third-party AI service, see the privacy policy.
